Dreamhouse is a testament to the harmony of sustainability, meticulous design, and purposeful functionality. I've used a layering system in crafting each garment, thoughtfully integrating materials that champion both longevity and environmental consciousness. The base layers were fashioned from organic cotton, a material choice reflecting a solid commitment to earth-friendly practices while ensuring a comfortable, breathable foundation. The mid-layers are constructed from Polartec recycled fleece, a brilliant material repurposed from post-consumer waste that provides superior insulation. In each piece, I sought to meld technical precision with organic contours and curves, enhancing functionality and articulation. In my top layers, I repurposed dead-stock Gore-Tex jackets, transforming them into robust and distinctive outerwear that offers unmatched weather protection. I've incorporated embroidery elements to pay homage to tradition, subtly combining the classic aesthetic of trucker jackets with the durable and resilient nature of Gore-Tex. I meticulously tailored each garment in Dreamhouse, bridging the elegance of bespoke craftsmanship with the rugged resilience needed in a fast-changing world. I've reinvented traditional jacket silhouettes, adding modern mobility and protection features, whilst maintaining a strong emphasis on sustainability. My design choices extend to functional additions like adjustable hoods and elastic bands with pull mechanisms for added security. The organic lines and curves incorporated into the design serve a dual purpose – visual appeal and practical usability. Dreamhouse is my vision of a future where style and sustainability coexist seamlessly. It showcases my dedication to protecting the Earth through adaptable designs, marrying current fashion trends with a forward-thinking approach to environmental stewardship.
